Conducted complimentary summer tune-up on a Carrier 25HBC5 air-source heat pump. Tested refrigerant pressures and temperatures - system proved adequately charged. Employed nitrogen trace gas testing along with soap bubble solution to isolate the specific leak location at the process tube joining the reversing valve. Prepped the area then brazed a copper saddle tap valve into the line set. Pulled a vacuum and weighed in the proper R-410A charge. Ran the system through multiple cooling cycles to verify repair, monitoring superheat and subcooling values within specifications. Leak sealed, airflow restored, and cooling capacity recovered.
